Owner Kelly Delaney is a nationally celebrated baking expert who has grown her gourmet and pastry shop into an incredibly successful business. She is now poised to take her business to the next level by expanding her retail space and opening additional retail locations. She also plans to drastically expand her reach by growing the shipping division of her company so she can provide more products to a wider range of customers.
After Cakes for Occasions aired nationally on Bloomberg Television's "The Mentor" in November 2011, Delaney and her business got more than advice from her mentor, Mindy Grossman, CEO of HSN, Inc. Grossman offered Delaney the opportunity to pitch her sweet products to an executive at the retail firm. The pitch succeeded and Cakes for Occasions partnered with HSN to introduce and sell its products on the TV network in early 2012.
