Owner Kelly Delaney is a nationally celebrated baking expert who has grown her gourmet cake and pastry shop into an incredibly successful business. She is now poised to take her business to the next level by expanding her retail space and opening additional retail locations. She also plans to drastically expand her reach by growing the shipping division of her company so she can provide more products to a wider range of customers.

Cakes for Occasions announces our first High School Cake War! This sweet competition will feature five seniors representing their high schools in a challenge of both their cake decorating skills and their school spirit. Cake War will take place on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 11am. Competitors will be supplied with three hours, cake, buttercream, decorating tools and supplies to create a three-tier cake showcasing their school pride. Competitors will then carry their completed cakes from their work station to a photo area. Friends, family, fellow classmates and the public are welcome to come by, cheer on your favorites, and be treated with slices of the yummy creations at the close of competition! A photo each of the cakes will be posted to Facebook by 3pm and voting will be open until 3pm on May 23. The winning senior will win desserts for their senior "All Night Party" (or similar) and a college award if entering college in the Fall of 2013. The finalists are:
