May - Danvers Community YMCA has been a part of the community since 1932 with the mission to provide innovative programs that positively influence the quality of life for its members, families, and communities. Since the 1950’s the Danvers Y has offered summer camp programs to thousands of youths.

June - The Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation For Autism was established in 2000 by NFL quaterback Doug Flutie and his wife, Laurie, in honor of their son Doug Jr. who was diagnosed with autism at the age of three. Their primary objective is to provide families with a place to turn when they are in need of support and autism resources.

July - Each summer a team of runners is put together to participate in the Falmouth Road Race, a 7-mile scenic route along Cape Cod, with one goal in mind: racing to the ultimate finish line, a world without cancer. As part of this team, runners support a leading cancer institute in Boston by not only lacing up their shoes for the run but by raising funds for cancer care and research.

August - The mission of Strays in Need is to rescue stray cats and dogs in the local community and provide them with proper medical attention and place them in caring homes.

September - Ovations for the Cure is dedicated to supporting the research, patient treatment and awareness of ovarian cancer. They support this by proliferating broad-spectrum awareness of the risk factors and subtle warning signs of ovarian cancer and through the continued support of new and ongoing ovarian cancer research and treatment initiatives.

October - Kiwanis Pediatric Trauma Institute (KPTI) is dedicated to the specialized care of pediatric trauma patients and to the health and safety of all children. A partnership between Kiwanis Foundation of New England (KFNE) and Tufts Medical Center / Floating Hospital since 1981, KPTI is located at the medical center in downtown Boston, Massachusetts.

November - The mission of Rosie’s Place is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for poor and homeless women to maintain their dignity, seek opportunity and find security in their lives.

December - Children's Hospital Boston welcomes patient families into their patient family home, the Yawkey Family Inn. The Yawkey Family Inn offers families a comforting place to stay during their children's hospitalization at Children's Hospital.

January - The mission of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, a nonprofit donor-supported organization, is to assure the development of the means to cure and control cystic fibrosis and to improve the quality of life for those with the disease.

Special charity cupcake flavors – Honey Cinnamon and Chocolate Marshmallow. The cupcakes are selling for $2.50 each. Cakes for Occasions will donate $1 from the sale of each cupcake to benefit the featured charities.
Our specialty charity cupcakes will be available at our Danvers store and will be available at fundraising events throughout the year. Cakes for Occasions is accepting orders for our charity cupcakes, however please be advised that they are only available in the specified flavors and colors.
