The Danvers-Based Bakery Will Celebrate With Clowns, Cookie Decorating, And Charity
Danvers, Mass (March 21, 2007) -On March 31st, Cakes for Occasions marks their 10th anniversary by unveiling their remodeled store and hosting a Customer Appreciation Day that is free and open to the public and runs from 12 - 5 p.m.. Events include:
- Cookie Decorating for the Kids (12 - 5 p.m.)
- Cake decorating demonstration (12 - 1 p.m.)
- Dondo the Magiclown (1 - 2 p.m.)
- Photos with the Easter Bunny (3 - 5 p.m.)
Cakes for Occasions started small in owner Kelly Delaney's kitchen, and has since grown to a company that employs 15 pastry chefs and handcrafts nearly 700 wedding cakes every year. Cakes for Occasions has appeared on the Today show and has been featured in Gourmet and Yankee magazines. During "Customer Appreciation Day," Delaney will unveil a new look for the bakery as well as interactive computer stations that allow the customer to see the bakery's menu items.
"Cakes for Occasions wouldn't be as successful as it is today without the patronage of my loyal customers over the past 10 years," Delaney said. "Customer Appreciation Day will be a way to show them my gratitude."
Along with the scheduled program of events, all guests will have the opportunity to enter a raffle by donating 15 dollars to Mel's Foundation, a charity raising money for cancer research. A donation gets you a Mel's bracelet and entry into the raffle.
