NORTH SHORE MEDICAL CENTER TO BENEFIT FROM “CAKES FOR CARING” CAMPAIGN
Cakes for Occasions to Donate Money from June Cupcake Sales
DANVERS, Mass (June 10, 2008): Cakes for Occasions has named the North Shore Medical Center Cancer WALK as the June beneficiary for their “Cakes for Caring” charity campaign. The year-long initiative launched in April and is designed to focus on a different non-profit organization each month. The bakery has designed a custom cupcake for the North Shore Medical Center Cancer WALK and plans to donate a portion of the proceeds from the cupcake sales throughout the month of June.
The cupcakes will retail for $2.50, with $1.00 from each sale being donated. “This campaign is a unique way for people to donate to our cause while enjoying a delicious treat,” says Hillary Brierley, Director of Special Events for NSMC. “We are grateful that Cakes for Occasions has chosen our organization as the focus for June since our Cancer WALK also happens this month.”
The cupcakes will be available at the North Shore Medical Center Cancer WALK, taking place on Sunday, June 22nd at Salem Willows Park in Salem. For more information about “Cakes for Caring,” visit www.cakes4occasions.com/cakesforcaring.
