Delaney’s Team Creates Gingerbread Fenway Park Model

DANVERS, Mass (December 4, 2007) - Cakes for Occasions in Danvers has a reputation for creating the best wedding cakes and gourmet desserts in the area and the media is catching on to the culinary phenom behind the successful bakery, owner Kelly Delaney. Delaney was recently hand-picked by Fox 25 Morning News anchor Kim Carrigan to create a gingerbread model of Fenway Park that will be unveiled during the popular news program on Monday, December 10th.

On the heels of a championship win, Delaney is thrilled to be building a delicious design of this Boston landmark. “I was so honored to be chosen,” remarked Delaney. “A gingerbread Fenway Park is a fun and fitting tribute to our beloved Red Sox. My team is working very hard on the project.”

The model will be featured during a holiday segment on Fox 25 Morning News, along with some other Boston landmarks, on Monday. Viewers will be able to vote for their favorite gingerbread creation online.

Cakes for Occasions has already partnered with the Red Sox Foundation to raise money for their designated charities during the Danvers Holiday Festival this past weekend. Always a favorite stop for all those who attend, Delaney gave away baseball-shaped cookies and stocking cookies to those who donated to the Foundation. She is planning a raffle next week; the winner will receive the gingerbread Fenway Park model.
