Our Cakes for Caring charity for the month of January is the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The mission of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, a non-profit, donor-supported organization, is to assure the development of the means to cure and control Cystic Fibrosis and to improve the quality of life for those with the disease.

Cakes for Caring is offering two delicious cupcakes for this fundraiser-Honey Cinnamon and Chocolate Marshmallow. The cupcakes are selling for $2.50 each. Cakes for Caring will donate $1.00 from the sale of each cupcake to support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

The Foundation is the leading organization in the United States devoted to Cystic Fibrosis. It funds and accredits more than 115 Cystic Fibrosis care centers, 95 adult care programs and 50 affiliate programs. Located at teaching and community hospitals across the country, care centers offer comprehensive diagnosis, treatment, care and counseling for those with Cystic Fibrosis. In addition, there are 80 chapters and branch offices nationwide that organize and host a variety of special events to raise funds for vital Cystic Fibrosis programs.

Until the Foundation conquers the disease, the team at the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation will work tirelessly and enhance life for those with Cystic Fibrosis by functioning as scientific pioneers, blazing new trails in Cystic Fibrosis research, fundraisers, securing the money needed to support the Foundation’s efforts, advocates, keeping Cystic Fibrosis a top priority in government, industry and research, investors, funding drug discovery and development, caregivers, linking patients and families to specialized Cystic Fibrosis care, and family, offering support, information, and resources.
